SAINTS TO BE SEEDED FOR EUROPA LEAGUE DRAW
26th July 2016
Saturday's Scottish Cup Final win for Inverness CT ensures that St. Johnstone will enter the 1st qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League in July.
Incredibly, it is now the fourth season in a row that Saints have qualified for European competition - the first time a Scottish side outside the Old Firm has achieved such a feat since Aberdeen in 1992.
The draw for the first and second qualifying rounds will be made on Monday 22nd June, with the first round qualifying legs taking place on Thursday 2nd and Thursday 9th July.
With a coefficient points total of 6.080 it means that Saints will be seeded for the draw, meaning we will miss out on playing the likes of West Ham United, Rosenborg, Spartak Trnava and Red Star Belgrade.
Below is a list of all 51 teams in the first round pot. However, UEFA are likely to regionalise the draw meaning Saints will face a side from North-West Europe.
