TOMMY WRIGHT EXTENDS DEAL AT SAINTS

TOMMY WRIGHT EXTENDS DEAL AT SAINTS

26th July 2016

We are delighted to announce that manager Tommy Wright has signed an extension to his current contract, securing his future at the club until June 2019.

The St. Johnstone boss, who replaced Steve Lomas in June 2013, has been in charge at McDiarmid Park during the most successful period in the club’s history. Tommy has led Saints to back-to-back top six finishes, European victories over Rosenborg and Luzern, and, of course, winning the Scottish Cup in 2014 – the first time the club had won a major trophy.

Tommy said: “Of course, I’m delighted to have extended my contract. I am enjoying my time at the club, and I do feel there’s still a lot to be done and a lot to be achieved.

“When I look at the squad of players, I realise how well we’ve done to assemble such a strong team and I know we can achieve more success together.

“I would like to thank the Chairman and the club for their continued support.”
