Chris Kane popped up to score an 85th minute winner as Saints defeated 10-man Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0 at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday night.
It was a win richly deserved as St. Johnstone dominated play for the majority of the match, having eighteen attempts on goal to Caley's four. Saints were unfortunate not to go ahead earlier when David Wotherspoon saw his penalty saved by Fon Williams in the 68th minute, after Gary Warren was sent off for bringing down Danny Swanson in the area.
