Former Saintee' Darren Dods' Glentoran ran St. Johnstone close in this pre season friendly in Belfast. Steven MacLean and Chris Kane with the goals for the Perth side.

St. Johnstone kicked off their pre season with a 2-1 win against Northern Irish Premiership side Glentoran managed by former Saintee Alan Kernaghan.

Steven MacLean opened the scoring after only two minutes but The Glens equalised thanks to a 20-yard effort from Chris Lavery. However, with 9 minutes left, substitute Chris Kane beat the advancing home goalkeeper to fire the winner from just inside the box.
