Yesterday afternoon saw the formal launch of the St. Johnstone home kit for season 2017/18 when the entire first team squad, manager Tommy Wright and Alan Storrar, of main sponsors Alan Storrar Cars, appeared together at Tesco Crieff Road as replica shirts were sold to supporters.
Fans off all ages turned out to meet their favourite players - including new arrivals Stefan Scougall and Kyle McClean - and to get their hands on the new kit, which is in the familiar Royal Blue but with a retro-style pinstripe and collar.
The event also highlighted the club's relationship with Perth-based car dealership Alan Storrar Cars, who are Saints' shirt sponsors for a second successive season.
Alan said: "It was a two-year shirt sponsorship we signed up for last season so we're delighted to be involved with St. Johnstone again this coming season. It's a fantastic club and with last season's success leading to a European spot I know supporters will be looking forward to a trip to Lithuania in the Europa League qualifiers.
"We're a Perth-based business so it's important for us to back the local team in the city and we're delighted the club is doing so well at the minute. It's very positive for us locally to be associated with such a successful team."
The kit launch on Friday afternoon was a chance for Alan to show off some of cars featuring as part of the business' Summer Sales Event.
"The summer sale has been going very well and we're hoping that continues until the end of the event, which is at the end of the month. So supporters have just over a week to come down to see us in the Inveralmond Industrial Estate and take advantage of some great offers we have running at the minute."
Alan Storrar Cars can be found on Inveralmond Place in the Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth, PH1 3TS. They're open weekdays 8.30am-6pm, Saturdays 9am-5.30pm and Sundays 11am-5pm. Visit their website at www.alanstorrarcars.co.uk or phone 01738 444620.
