LOAN WATCH: Cup defeat for Saints loanees

Just two of the club's four players out on-loan featured at the weekend with Callum Hendry injured and Greg Hurst an unused subsitute for Berwick Rangers against Elgin City.

Ross Sinclair and Cameron Ballantyne both played the full 90 minutes as BSC Glasgow were knocked out of the South Challenge Cup by Bonnyrigg Rose at the Indodrill Stadium.

BSC manager Stephen Swift singled out Ballantyne and some of his side's other young players for praise after the match and said they will learn from the experience of losing to a more experienced Bonyrigg outfit.

It was BSC's first defeat since Ross and Cameron joined the Lowland League side.

It was a busy weekend for 'keeper Ross Sinclair as he turned out for Saints U18s less than 24 hours later in the 2-1 (AET) defeat to Motherwell U18s in the Scottish FA Youth Cup at McDiarmid Park.

Next up for Ross and Cameron is a tricky home clash with The Spartans at the Indodrill Stadium. BSC sit in 4th place just one point behind this Saturday's opponents.
