Players put through paces at Claymore Crossfit

Monday 12th June

As we reported yesterday, the Saints players began pre-season training on Sunday - just three weeks after the final game of last season - and after gathering at McDiarmid Park they were put through their paces at local gym Claymore Crossfit. As our photos show the boys felt the strain on a range of gym equipment at the South Methven Street venue under the watchful eye of Saints coaching and fitness staff.

First Team Physiotherapist Tony Tompos said “With the players having had only three weeks off there hasn’t been much chance for them to decondition but in fairness it’s clear they have all looked after themselves during that short break. I’d like to thank Chris Brown at Claymore Crossfit for allowing us to use their excellent facilities which has enabled us to test a lot of players in a short space of time.”
