Saints were delighted to recently receive the chance to send some players along to Strathtay House, a sheltered housing complex in Perth.

Murray Davidson, Liam Gordon and Scott Tanser headed along to meet the residents and staff and learn about the daily routine at Strathtay House and the background of some of the residents, many of who are Saints fans and were able to regale the boys with their memories of games at Muirton Park.

Murray said “It was great to meet the residents who had made a real effort for our visit – there were Saints flags and crests on the walls and a relative of one of the residents had been busy with the knitting needles and rattled off about nine blue and white scarves for the occasion!”

Liam Gordon said: “Speaking to the staff was very interesting. They go to huge lengths to make the residents feel comfortable and make their days varied and interesting.”

“There’s a great feeling about the place which is evident as soon as you walk in the door” said Scott Tanser. “We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to chat with the residents and staff.”
