Saints Under 20s lost 3-1 to Celtic Under 20s are New Central Park, Kelty this afternoon. The visitors started brightly and they took the lead on 23 minutes when Ewan Henderson fired a 20-yard strike past Ben Mackenzie in the Saints goal and into the top corner of the net.

Saints equalised 3 minutes into the second half when Shaun Struthers headed home a free kick inside the box. Saints then went in search of further goals as they tried to take the lead however, visiting keeper Ross Doohan produced two important saves within seconds of each other to keep the Glasgow side in the game.

However, on 63 minutes Celtic regained the lead as substitute Grant Savoury struck from just inside the box. Then 2 minutes later it was 3-1 as Liam Henderson produced a stunning long-range effort that Mackenzie couldn’t do anything about.

The closing stages saw Celtic create the better chances as they comfortably saw the game out to retain their 100% league record.
