Stagecoach have launched a promotional offer with St Johnstone Football Club to provide Season ticket holders with travel discount to reach the home ground at McDiarmid Park.

The new offer, named Match dayrider, was launched ready for this Saturday's home match with Hibernian.

The deal will allow any supporters with a St Johnstone season ticket to travel to and from weekend home matches for 50% less when they buy a Match dayrider.

Saints supporters simply need to show their season ticket to the driver of the first Stagecoach bus they board on match day to receive 50% off one of the company's existing dayrider tickets - a Match dayrider.

The Match dayrider tickets available to travel to McDiarmid Park are Perth Zone 1, Perth Zone 2, Perth Zone 3, Tayside and East Scotland Zone. Each zone ticket provides unlimited travel for the day and therefore provides return travel to the match, as well as any other journeys required throughout the day.

The offer has been created to help ease traffic congestion around McDiarmid Park when St Johnstone play at home, and to help reduce the number of cars trying to park at the site.

Local Operations Manager Louise Simpson launched the promotion with St Johnstone Business Development Executive Paul Hebbourn this week, ahead of the Saints' first home match against Hibernian FC on Saturday 9 September.

Louise Simpson commented: "So many St Johnstone fans already use our extensive network of bus services to reach McDiarmid Park and by providing this discount travel offer, supporters have an even bigger incentive to leave their cars behind and use public transport to get to the game. It's great to work with St Johnstone Football Club and I wish them every success for the season too!"

The offer commences ready for St Johnstone FC's first home match on 9 September and Match dayrider tickets will be available to buy from Stagecoach bus drivers on the day of any weekend home matches throughout the 17/18 season.

Full details on the range of zone tickets available for travel in and around Perth is available at https://www.stagecoachbus.com/regionaltickets/east-scotland/perth/dayrider.

Supporters can also use stagecoachbus.com or the Stagecoach Bus app to plan a journey, view live bus times and see service updates for their journey. The Match dayrider is not available to buy on the website or app, and should be bought from the driver, an exact fare is not required, Stagecoach drivers are able to give change.
