Despite taking an early lead through Joe Johnson, the Saints Development side saw their run of three consecutive victories in all competitions come to an end with a 2-1 loss to Hibs in Airdrie on Tuesday night.
Hibs' goals came from Jack Breen and Oli Shaw in the SPFL Development League encounter.
A big positive was the inclusion in the starting line up of first team right-back Keith Watson who continues his come back from injury.
