Zander injury update

The Manager has confirmed that 'keeper Zander Clark has had a scan on a hamstring injury sustained in training on Friday and says that the result is better than had been initially feared.

Zander - who broke the club's top flight clean sheet record earlier in the season - had been ever present for Saints before the injury ruled him out of Saturday's goalless draw against Rangers.

Tommy spoke to the club's official website to give an update on the injury and says he hopes to have Zander back in action in a matter of weeks.

"Fortunately it seems the injury isn't as bad as we first feared," said Tommy.

"The scan has shown some damage but importantly there is no tear to Zander's tendon.

"The hamstring and tendon are stretched but the fact that there is no tear there means we can hopefully have Zander back to full fitness in a matter of weeks rather than months."
