CHANGES LIKELY FOR CUP TIE

CHANGES LIKELY FOR CUP TIE Derek McInnes looks set to have to make changes for tonight’s Co-operative Insurance Cup 3rd round tie against Hibs at Easter Road.

One un-named player is giving him cause for concern and there will be late decisions on defender Stuart McCaffrey, midfielder Chris Millar (pictured) and winger Filipe Morais. McCaffrey received stitches in the head wound he sustained in the league game at Hibs on Saturday, Millar picked up a thigh injury in the same game and Morais is recovering from a bug which floored him towards the end of last week and denied him the chance to come up against his former club.

Steven Anderson is drafted into the squad but it is too soon for captain Kevin Rutkiewicz who yesterday trained with his colleagues for the first time since getting injured in a pre-season game at Cowdenbeath.

TONIGHT’S GAME:

KICK OFF
7.45pm

GETTING TO THE GAME
Hibernian FC advise that the ongoing roadworks in relation to the creation of a tram network in Edinburgh city centre are likely to cause delays and suggest that Perth fans use the city by-pass south of the city before heading into Leith from the A1.

ADMISSION
There is reduced price admission tonight: £15 for adults and £10 concessions (Under 18s, over 65s and students with a valid matriculation card).

REFEREE
Charlie Richmond

CAN'T GET TO THE GAME?
The St Johnstone Official Website will be updated throughout the game.

THE LAST TIME:
In the past eleven years in the League Cup we have met Hibs at neutral Tynecastle and Hearts at neutral Easter Road but we have not met Hibs at Easter Road in this competition since Ally McCoist was a boy!

On 8th August 1981 Saints travelled to Edinburgh for a sectional League Cup tie and goals from Ally McCoist and Stuart Beedie secured a 2-1 win for Alex Rennie’s men. Murray was the HIbs scorer.

Saints: Tulloch, Kilgour, McNeil, Weir, Rutherford, Caldwell, Pelosi, McCoist, Beedie, Fleming, Brogan.

Hibs: Donaldson, Flavell, Turnbull, McNamara, McLaren, Rice, Callachan, Rae, Murray, MacLeod, Duncan

Att: 5,654
