Danny Swanson

Danny rejoined Saints on a free transfer after his release by Hibernian to be reunited with manager Tommy Wright for a third time.

His career began at Berwick Rangers where he quickly made a name for himself in the lower leagues of Scottish football and was attracting interest from a number of Scottish top flight clubs. In 2008, he signed for Dundee United and would go on to make 108 appearances for the Tannadice outfit.

A move down south followed to Peterborough United and after two years with the Posh he joined Coventry City. The move didn't work out for Danny and he subsequently joined Saints for the first time on-loan towards the end of the 2014/15 season.

After having his Coventry contract terminated, Danny came back to Scotland signing for Hearts but he lasted just five months at Tynecastle before returning to McDiarmid Park penning an 18-month-contract.

After one-and-a-half seasons at Saints, he signed a pre-contract agreement with boyhood heroes Hibs where he would stay for one full season before having his contract terminated paving the way for him to join Saints for a third time back in September 2018.

He made his debut for Saints for a third time as a second half substitute in the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen at McDiarmid Park in September.
