Paul arrived at McDiarmid Park in the summer of 2025 with an abundance of experience behind him. Paul was Head of Youth at Hamilton Accies and most notably at Kilmarnock as their head of community and then academy director for a combined 20 years.

He was more recently director of the Thistle Weir Youth Academy at Partick Thistle and was also first team assistant manager. Paul is a UEFA Pro Licence holder and also a Scottish FA Coach Educator and Assessor.
