We can confirm that head of goalkeeping Gordon Marshall will depart McDiarmid Park to take up a coaching role with Heart of Midlothian.
Gordon returned to Perth for a second stint at the club in September 2024 and played a key role as we gained promotion back to the Scottish Premiership last term.
Everyone at the club thanks Gordon for his service at St Johnstone and we wish him well on his move to Tynecastle.
Gordon said: “I really want to say thank you to everybody at St Johnstone. Everyone made me feel so welcome during my time at the club.
“Last season was absolutely brilliant. To gain promotion with a great group of coaches, goalies and players was special.
“There is, of course, a family connection for me at Tynecastle and it is a great opportunity personally.
“The good people at St Johnstone have helped to put me in this situation and I will be forever grateful to them for that.
“I also want to thank the fans, who have always been positive towards me and the goalkeepers. I wish the club all the very best as they return to the Scottish Premiership next season.”
The club has already begun the process of recruiting a new head of goalkeeping and an update will be communicated in due course.
