St Johnstone Fans Supporting Foodbanks (SFSF) are now more visible than ever on matchday after being presented with a new feather flag.

The flag, designed and donated to them by the club’s digital partner RYSE, was handed over before Saturday afternoon’s home match against Arbroath.

It makes their collection point at the corner of the Ormond and East Stands easy to view from near and far – and for both home and away supporters.

Coordinator of Saints Fans Supporting Foodbanks, Colin MacKay, said: “We are extremely grateful to everyone at RYSE for this wonderful gesture of support. The new flag looks amazing and will help increase awareness of the location and purpose of our match day collections.”

RYSE CEO Matty Souter said: “We’re proud to support St Johnstone Fans Supporting Foodbanks in their efforts to make a real difference in our community.

“Football has the power to bring people together, and this initiative shows that supporters can unite for more than just the game.

“Donating the flag was our way of helping the group stand out at matches while raising awareness and encouraging vital donations for the local foodbank. We would encourage match attendees to bring along what they can to help support this vital cause.”

Saints Fans Supporting Foodbanks are a group of volunteer fans who carry out match day collections prior to all men’s and women’s team home matches, gathering donations of non perishable foodstuffs and toiletries for Perth and Kinross Foodbank. They also accept cash donations to help support Saints in the Community’s food-based projects.
