St Johnstone WFC are back in action this weekend when we travel to Stirling University in SWPL 2.
Saints are currently eighth in the table following six matches and head coach Josh Henderson is hopeful of a positive response this week, following defeat to Rangers in the Sky Sports Cup last week.
Speaking after the match at Ibrox, Josh said: “It was always going to be a tough game against a very good side. The girls gave everything throughout and I was pleased to see them carry on battling in second half and show determination to keep going until the end.
“They can take a lot from these games, showing their character of giving their all. But also understand and learn from players of that quality with how they move the ball and play the game. There is definitely stuff to take forward from it for the rest of the season.
“It was great to have some away support there on Sunday. It means a lot to the players to see supporters travel down and back the team. It definitely helps them be together and get through tough moments in games – hopefully we can see that support this Sunday away at Stirling University.”
Kick-off at the University of Stirling (grass pitch 1) on Sunday is 2pm and admission is £4.
