After the official histories, greatest Saints, greatest matches and the history of Muirton Park, our club historians are now embarking on their next piece of work.
Alastair Blair and Brian Doyle have set themselves the task of chronicling our adventures in Europe and against European opposition in friendly matches.
St Johnstone’s first game against a non-British team was in 1954, against Admira Wien of Austria, and since then we’ve played a number of friendlies against the likes of Slovan Bratislava and Real Valladolid, but also a lot of competitive games against some very high quality European opposition.
If you were at any of these games, especially the away matches, Alastair would like to hear your memories and see any photos you have. Please send them to him by email at alastair.blair@aol.com
