PARTICK THISTLE PREVIEW

26th July 2016

Saints head to the west end of Glasgow tomorrow

Saints head to Firhill tomorrow, bidding to get on the rails after the defeat from Dunfermline last weekend.

Derek McInnes has Martin Hardie, Alan Main and Steven Anderson available again after their recent illness and injury woes and either Anderson or Stuart McCaffrey will be required to fill the gap left by Kevin James who faces the next few weeks on the sidelines.

New signing Nick McKoy is also in the squad for the trip west.

PREVIOUS FORM After a remarkable run of successes at Firhill, culminating in a 5-1 demolition of Thistle in September 2006, Saints have found the trip to Maryhill tougher going in recent times.

A 2-0 midweek reversal in March 2007 proved to be a costly defeat come the end of that season which saw us miss out on promotion with the final kick of the ball.

Last season both the matches ended all-square – 2-2 in December and 0-0 in March but Thistle had the benefit of knocking us out of the CIS Cup on penalty kicks.

Partick Thistle have extended an invitation to all St Johnstone fans to pay a visit to the Aitken Lounge Supporters Bar, located at the front of the stadium, where they will be sure of a warm welcome.

The bar will be open from 12noon until 2.30pm , as well as after the game, and in addition to the traditional selection of drinks, hot food including breakfast items and lunch, will be available.

Also please note that ALL UNDER 16'S will be allowed into this game free of charge

Saints fans travelling by bus should also note that Panmure Street is no longer in use for away supporters buses – they are to park in Murano Street between Benview Street and Bilsland Drive.
