SAINTS SET FOR DENS PARK CHALLENGE

SAINTS SET FOR DENS PARK CHALLENGE

26th July 2016

The Manager wants 3 points but plays down significance of league lead

Tomorrow sees Saints involved in a fixture that is always eagerly anticipated – a trip to Dens Park to meet Dundee.

This fixture is important at any time of the season but this particular encounter is more so due to the fact that a win would increase our lead at the top of the league to 6 points. However, in an interview with the Saints website Manager Derek McInnes is keen to stress the fact that we are only a third of the way through the season and even if we can secure that gap then it is far too early to talk about what can be achieved this season.

Derek expects to have Derek Holmes (pictured) and Stuart McCaffrey available again but Martin Hardie misses out due to suspension. The Manager hopes that his search for a backup goalkeeper will bear fruit later today.
