DEL NOT DISHEARTENED

Derek McInnes wasn’t too down-beat in the wake of last night’s Scottish Cup defeat from Rangers.

Del said “There was a lot to be pleased about – we worked Allan McGregor in the first half but we said before the game that we would need to be clinical with any chances that came our way and we weren’t clinical enough.

“We lost a sloppy goal which I didn’t see coming and that gave Rangers a lift just before the break. They pulled us around a bit in the second half and I thought 2-0 was a bit harsh but we didn’t do enough in the second half and they deserved to win the tie.”
