Derek McInnes speaks after the 0-0 draw at McDiarmid Park

Derek McInnes was a frustrated man after yesterday’s goalless affair with Ross County at McDiarmid Park.

The Saints boss felt that there was not enough intensity in his side’s play and that while another solid performance from the defensive unit gave them the platform to go on and win the match, the lack of pace combined with poor final balls and bad decision making led to County keeper Derek Soutar having a relatively quiet afternoon.

However, Derek stressed that there is much to be positive about and is pleased that his side are in action again on Tuesday when they travel to meet Clyde in Cumbernauld.

Photo: Tensions between the Saints and Ross County technical areas were there for all to see yesterday but Dingwall boss Derek Adams returned from his enforced exile in the stand to shake the hand of Derek McInnes at the end of the game.
