Saints head to third place Livingston

The relentless pursuit of the First Division title continues amongst all the challengers tomorrow with another full card of fixtures coming just four days after the midweek round of games that saw Saints and Partick Thistle edge further away from Dundee and Dunfermline Athletic.

The Pars’ defeat was inflicted by Livingston and it is to Almondvale that Saints head tomorrow to try and increase the points gap between us and the third placed side. Livvy have been scoring goals for fun in the past two games but have also been vulnerable at the back and that is something that Saints will be looking to exploit. The win at Broadwood was notable for the passing game that Saints, with Derek Holmes rested, employed and it proved successful and they will be looking for more of the same tomorrow.

All the players who took part in the 3-1 win over Clyde on Tuesday are available and Collin Samuel and Martin Hardie may also come into contention as they have both been responding well to treatment this week.

Jody Morris and Andy Jackson are continuing their recuperations although Jacko had a midweek scare when he was rushed through to an Edinburgh hospital with suspected deep vein thrombosis. Thankfully the diagnosis was less serious but it summed up an unfortunate year for last season’s top scorer.

Derek McInnes has given his thoughts on tomorrow’s game to the Saints Official Website – click on the link to listen.

Saints fans will be in the East Stand at Almondvale tomorrow at a cost of £16 for adults, £10 for full-time students and £7 for over 65s and Under 16s.

Saints fans should also note that there are roadworks at the Braehead roundabout in Livingston with traffic being controlled by temporary lights. Supporters are advised to travel via the A899/A71 and approach the stadium from the south.

Closer to home, Tayside Safety Camera Partnership (TSCP) enforces the speed limit on roads in Tayside with a history of casualties and excessive speed.

When travelling to and from the game this weekend, supporters should remember that TSCP will be using fixed and mobile safety cameras to enforce the speed limits on the following roads: A9 between Perth and Stirling, A9 between Perth and Inverness and on the A90.

Tayside Safety Camera Partnership would like to wish all supporters a safe journey.
