MANAGER ISSUES RALLYING CALL

Fans urged to keep up the good support tomorrow

Airdrie United visit McDiarmid Park tomorrow and while the Lanarkshire club languish at the bottom of the league, the test they will provide Saints will be significant and with Derek McInnes’s players having the task of bouncing back from a defeat for the first time since August, tomorrow’s game is arguably the most important of the season.

Collin Samuel is added to the squad having had the reaction he had hoped for from intensive treatment and there mayalso be a place in the sixteen for Martin Hardie (pictured).

The Saints manager has emphasised the role the Perth support can play in the game tomorrow.

“I know I’ve said it in the past but it remains true – the part the fans can play genuinely makes a massive difference to the players. We are all in this together – management, players and fans. Every side that visits McDiarmid Park comes to frustrate us and it can take time to break that down. That is when everyone needs to show patience, understanding and support rather than anxiety.

“I would ask fans to come to the game in the frame of mind to get right behind the team for the whole game. Between us we can get the results we need to get us to the finishing line.

“The players know that they must react positively to last week’s defeat and I know I have the squad who will do that. We have three home games in a row with a weeks break in the middle and that is the perfect platform on which to launch our final assault on the league.”

Striker Peter MacDonald has been edging his way back into first team affairs after a frustrating couple of months out and he has spoken to the Saints Official Website this morning. Click the link below to listen.

Tayside Safety Camera Partnership (TSCP) enforces the speed limit on roads in Tayside with a history of casualties and excessive speed.

When travelling to and from the game this weekend, supporters should remember that TSCP will be using fixed and mobile safety cameras to enforce the speed limits on the following roads:

A9 between Perth and Stirling and other sites on the A9 and A90.

Tayside Safety Camera Partnership would like to wish all supporters a safe journey.
