DEREK HAPPY WITH FIRST DAY BACK

Derek McInnes expressed satisfaction with the way the first day of pre-season training had gone.

Speaking to the Saints Official Website this afternoon he said “It was good to get started. The boys have all had individual programmes to work to over the close season so they have come back in decent shape. We’ve had a couple of visits to Dundee University for fitness testing but this was our first full together.

“The new signings mixed in well and we head off tomorrow morning for our training camp at Wolverhampton which I think will be a big benefit to the whole squad.”
