Two more foreign trialists are set to be viewed this week

Manager Derek McInnes will continue to search for a left back this week with two foreign trialists set to be put through their paces at training.

Polish defender David Topolski who featured in Saturday’s draw at Montrose has returned home with McInnes indicating that there was “nothing imminent” in terms of progressing a possible extended stay in Perth.

A French trialist joined in training this morning and he will be joined later in the week by a German defender and Derek will use training sessions plus a couple of closed door outings to assess their suitability. The next public outing for the team is next Saturday when we head to Inverness.

Commenting on Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Links Park, the manager said “I was a bit disappointed not to win the game but there was a lot to be pleased about. We were a wee bit sloppy at times and there was a few instances of poor decision making but that is what these games are designed to highlight and sort out. We’ll be looking to tighten up on certain things ahead of the games against Inverness and Burnley.”

Meanwhile, the annual official photocall took place this morning.
