We are delighted to announce that Andrew Litster has been welcomed onto the board of directors of St Johnstone Football Club.

Andrew, 63, grew up in Brahan Terrace in Letham and attended Goodlyburn Primary School, Perth Academy and Dundee College of Commerce.

Andrew qualified as a management accountant in 1983, spent eight years with a local baby clothing manufacturer and 22 years in the whisky industry.

He retires after 15 years as finance director at Sidey doors and windows in Perth, who have been major sponsors for more than 20 years.

Andrew played cricket in Perth for 35 years and currently enjoys ‘old man’s golf and tennis’. His wife Lesley and daughter Hayley are both Saints fans too and regularly attend matches.

Andrew’s first match was at Muirton Park against Arbroath in 1968 and he attended the League Cup final in October 1969 as an eight-year-old.

He said: “When Adam Webb approached me, I was honoured to be invited to join the board of the club I have loved since I was a boy.

“I very much look forward to joining the whole team at Saints and hopefully add value with my financial and commercial experience.”

The club wishes to extend its thanks to David Beaton, who recently stepped down from his role as a director.
