One of the biggest changes for the 2026/27 season will see the reintroduction of the Family Stand at McDiarmid Park. We are committed to inspiring the next generation at St Johnstone Football Club and one of our most critical objectives is growing our fanbase.

We must encourage the children of Perthshire to become Saints fans at an early age. We began these efforts last season with many school visits, several specified school matches, and the return of our crossbar challenge at half-time for local youth clubs. But we must continue to do more.

Our fan engagement consultants from Impresario Strategic Growth spoke with more than a dozen local families this winter and concluded that a dedicated Family Stand is the best way to bring more families into McDiarmid Park and encourage more young people to be Saints fans for life.

Our recent Community Day in the North Stand was deemed a hugely successful experiment by our coaches and players. The atmosphere in the stadium was heightened by having hundreds of youngsters near the club’s most vocal supporters and, following that game, Simo urged us to make the North Stand the new Family Stand going forward.

Based on this feedback, and several other important reasons, the North Stand – not the Ormond Stand – will become the new Family Stand. The reasons include, most significantly: the North Stand is sunnier and warmer than the Ormond Stand. We want to give our families the most comfortable stand possible. Other reasons include the requirement for disabled parking and disabled access adjacent to the away stand and only the Ormond Stand can accommodate such facilities.

We have priced the Family Stand tickets to encourage young families to make Saints part of their new family tradition. To make memories to last a lifetime. For only £250 a parent or guardian can bring one or two children under the age of 13 for the whole season. Only those accompanying a child under 13 will be allowed into the Family Stand. If one sibling is above the age requirements, but at least one child is still under 13, the family will be allowed to stay in the Family Stand.

Please note that season tickets for the Family Stand will not include category A fixtures. This allows the club to maintain tremendous cost savings for our families while also supporting the club’s wider financial position. Our fan engagement consultations also found that some families are reluctant to attend matches against certain clubs. Those who do want to attend those games will be offered economical ticket packages in the Geoff Brown Stand.

We are hugely excited for the relaunch of the Family Stand at McDiarmid Park and please encourage your family and all families you know to join us for an exciting new chapter next season!

Remember, season tickets go on sale on Tuesday, May 5.
