We are delighted to announce that our head coach Simo Valakari has agreed terms on an extended contract with the club.
Simo, who joined us back in October 2024, has now put pen to paper on a contract until the summer of 2029.
Owner Adam Webb said: “Since arriving in Perth, Simo has played a key role in driving standards on and off the pitch, embedding a clear footballing identity and demonstrating a strong commitment to our family club.
“This new contract is not just a reward for recent progress, but a statement of trust and shared ambition. We believe in the direction we are heading, and stability is a crucial part of building long-term success.
“His leadership, work ethic and connection with players, staff, supporters and the local community is exemplary, and we’re all looking forward to continuing this journey together.”
Speaking after signing his extension, Simo said: “This was an easy decision for me.
“Since day one I have been honoured to be head coach of this fantastic club, in this wonderful city and in a beautiful community that has made me feel so welcome.
“This new contract does not change our process. We work hard every single day and the maximum effort will continue.
“I would like to thank Adam, Fran, Gus and the board of directors for placing their trust in me, and of course all my staff and players for everything they do for this club. We are a team and that is what will make us successful. Nobody can do this alone.
“To the fans, thank you for your enthusiastic support. It constantly lifts us to be the best we can be and we are all determined to create more memories together – full rock n’ roll.
“Together we are strongest and I look forward to seeing you all at McDiarmid Park soon.”
Everyone at the club congratulates Simo on his new contract.
