Jamie Gullan was back on the scoresheet for the Saints on Tuesday night when he netted in our 2-1 victory away at Airdrieonians.
Jamie opened the scoring before Cheick Diabate made it two shortly after.
Airdrie bounced back in the second period through Cammy Cooper but we defended well to ensure we secured an important three points.
Speaking after the game, Jamie said: “It was a really good start. We came out of the traps quickly. We attacked right from the off.
“Our two goals came quickly in the game, it was a really fast start. Airdrie then came into the game and they tested us.
“We stood up to it and ultimately it is a great three points for us. It was a different kind of three points for us.”
On his goal, Jamie continued: “I am really happy to get back on the scoresheet again. After a wee niggly injury I just wanted to get back out there and hit form again.
“I felt I was in good form before my injury and I wanted to get back to that as soon as possible.
“I am delighted with the goal, it got us off to a good start.”
