LEGEND LIAM EXTENDS STAY WITH SAINTS
22nd March 2021
Liam Craig has signed a new deal at McDiarmid Park extending his time with the Perth club until the summer of 2022.
The 34-year-old last month played in Saints' Betfred Cup final victory over Livingston and has been pivotal - including scoring the match winner against Hibs recently - in helping the club secure an 8th top six finish in the last decade.
The midfielder is now only 15 matches away from becoming the Club's all-time appearance holder, who is currently Scottish Cup-winning legend and a former team mate of Liam's, Steven Anderson.
Commenting on signing the new deal, the Saints no. 26 said:
"I’m delighted to sign. The biggest thing - I say it to the younger players - is to enjoy every day.
“I’m enjoying it as much as I ever have. It’s great to be playing alongside a young group of players who have so much potential.
"If I can give them any advice or help along the way on and off the park, then brilliant.
"I take a lot of pride in still playing at this level."
