Live streaming update – Season 2022/2023

The following is an update regarding SaintsTV and the live streaming of SPFL matches.

During the pandemic clubs were able (with the consent of SKY) to broadcast live SPFL games to season ticket holders. Clubs were also able to sell PPV events to anyone who wasn’t a season ticket holder at that time. This allowed fans to continue to support their team and find some escape from the ongoing troubles around the world.

As a gesture of good will St Johnstone continued to include this virtual season ticket option for anyone who purchased a season ticket last season, despite fans being allowed back into grounds.

With the pandemic restrictions now behind us, the SPFL broadcasting rules are returning to the way it was pre-pandemic.

This means streaming live matches to UK & Ireland supporters is illegal from 2.45pm – 5.15pm on a Saturday and that virtual season tickets are no longer permitted.

International SaintsTV subscribers will still be able to watch SPFL matches.

Live audio commentary will still be available to UK & Ireland based SaintsTV subscribers for all matches within our control.

The SPFL is still considering an option for games to be sold as PPV events / live streamed that do not fall between the stated blackout times. For example, midweek or Sunday games.

As soon as the club is informed of the SPFL’s decision we will update our supporters.
