Goalkeeper Craig Hepburn has enjoyed a fast start to life at Brechin City after joining the club on loan this summer for the season.
Heppy, 20, came through the youth ranks at McDiarmid Park and has since enjoyed loan spells with Luncarty, Cowdenbeath and Bonnyrigg Rose.
The Highland League and Brechin City now offers Craig further experience and he has started brightly with three cleansheets in his opening four Highland League games.
Speaking about his loan, Craig explained: “It has been a good start for me. Three games and three cleansheets to start the league was nice. I can’t complain about anything at the moment.
“The club have been very good with me and have looked after me since I arrived. As have Saints, they have been checking in on me and my progress.
“It is a really good squad at Brechin. There are a lot of players who have played at a high level. They know what it is all about and they are helping me improve as a player.
“I have set myself a personal goal so hopefully I can achieve that by the end of the season. I just need to keep working hard.”
On the support of the goalkeepers at St Johnstone and coach Gordon Marshall, Craig added: “We all push each other here at Saints to be the best we can be.
“No matter who is playing or who is out on loan we all supportive of each other and it is a great atmosphere.
“Marsh has been really good with me also. He said I just need to go out and play games and that will make me a better goalkeeper in the long run.”
Craig is back in action tomorrow against Banks O’ Dee.
