Young striker Murray Binnie has enjoyed a fast start to life at Jeanfield Swifts after joining the Perth-based side on loan this summer.

Murray is already picking up valuable experience and he will remain with the East of Scotland League Premier Division outfit until January.

The 17-year-old is already finding the back of the net too having scored two goals in his opening four games. He has also recorded two assists.

Discussing his recent form, Murray said: “It has been really enjoyable so far. It is a different challenge for me playing against men on a weekly basis but it a good challenge at the same time.

“I feel like the move is already benefiting me. I am improving the physical side of my game and that can only help me going forward.

“The physical side is probably something I have not been used to, so every week I am learning.

“I am hoping this move can get the best out of me, and hopefully I can help the boys at Jeanfield have a successful start to the season as well.

“Hopefully when the time comes, I can come back here and push myself even further.”

Jeanfield are back in action on Saturday when they take on Hill of Beath.

Ahead of that one, Murray added: “I always enjoy scoring goals and this season has been no different. It is always nice to get on the scoresheet and hopefully I can keep doing that. I have started well so I just need to keep going.

“I always have great support around me from my teammates here at Saints and the coaching staff. They are always checking in on me.

“The staff and players at Jeanfield have been great as well. They know I’m a young boy but they are helping me settle in. I have nothing but praise for everyone.

“This move is all about development for me. It is a great club to play for and I am excited to see what I can get out of the move until January.”
