Match Preview | Kelty Hearts (A)

St Johnstone travel to Kelty Hearts tomorrow, looking to defend their Scottish Cup and get back to winning ways.

Saints will travel to the kingdom of Fife tomorrow to take on high flying Kelty Hearts. Kelty are 7 points clear at the top of League 2, with 2 games in hand. They are flourishing under manager Kevin Thomson this season and a will provide a tough test for the Scottish Cup holders.

Kelty have only lost once this season, coming in a 5-1 defeat on Boxing Day at the hands of Annan Athletic. Kelty will be coming into this weekend's game after drawing 2-2 with Edinburgh City.

Nathan Austin will provide Kelty's main threat with the forward bagging an impressive 18 goals in 19 starts.

Kelty Hearts will be aiming to reach the last 16 of the Scottish Cup for the first time in their history.

St Johnstone come into this game hoping for a win, having lost to Hearts 2-0 at Tynecastle midweek. Nadir Ciftci and Dan Cleary both made their debuts in the defeat. Ciftci provided moments of inspiration for Saints as he at times looked a threat and could be the main hope for turning Saint's season around.

Tony Gallacher could be poised to make his debut this weekend after being an unused sub against Hearts.

Callum Davidson will still be without David Wotherspoon, who is sidlined for the rest of the season. Craig Bryson will also be side-lined for around 6-8 weeks after suffering an injury on boxing day against Celtic. Shaun Rooney is also sidelined with an ankle injury.

Apart from that Callum Davidson has no new injury concerns.
