Match Preview: St Johnstone vs Dundee

Saints travel to Dens Park tonight, to face a resurgent Dundee side.

The last time these two met at Dens Park was in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final earlier this season. Cup final goal hero Shaun Rooney opened the scoring after latching onto a poorly dealt with corner and new signing Ali Crawford doubled the lead with a wonderfully struck shot from outside the box.

However, this time St Johnstone face a different Dundee. James McPake’s men come into this fixture full of confidence after putting in arguably their best performance of the season with a 3-0 win last Saturday.

Saints on the other hand are looking to bounce back following a 2-1 defeat to Hibs at McDiarmid Park.

Callum Davidson will be without Craig Bryson, after he picked up a red card in Saturday’s fixture. Stevie May and David Wotherspoon still remain out with injury, but Glenn Middleton has recovered faster than expected and could be part of tonight’s squad.

Chris Kane also returns from suspension and could slot straight into the starting XI.
