Match Preview: St Johnstone vs Hibernian

Saints welcome Hibs to McDiarmid Park later today, with both sides meeting for the second time this season.

Hibees got one over the Perth men at Easter Road after a controversial penalty decision and a sending off for Jamie McCart.

Callum Davidson’s men put in a valiant effort against Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final, holding the hoops back for a majority of the game before the Glasgow side capitalised on a mistake in the 73rd minute.

The Edinburgh side had more success in their semi-final against Rangers, putting on a scintillating attacking performance, beating the Gers 3-1.

Jack Ross will be without both Christian Doidge and Martin Boyle after both players were sent-off in Hibs midweek loss to Ross County.

Whilst Saints will be without David Wotherspoon, Glenn Middleton and Stevie May through injury and Chris Kane through suspension.

However new addition Viv Solomon-Otabor has been brought into bolster attacking options. The forward will be hoping to hit the ground running.
