Match Preview: St Johnstone vs Ross County

2nd December 2021

St Johnstone take on bottom of the table Ross County this afternoon in a massive game for both sides.

A win for Saints could see them rise to within one point of the top six, however,a victory for the Staggies will see them leapfrog the Perth side and out of the bottom two.

Ross County off the back of a three game undefeated streak, including a win over Hibernian and a draw against Dundee United. Saints on the other hand are searching for their first win in eight games.

Last time these two sides faced each other was during the opening game of the season in Dingwall.

It was a tight affair ending in a goalless draw. Reece Devine was the real creative spark for the away side, driving down the line and winning a penalty for the visitors. Midfielder Ali McCann stepped up and thundered it over the bar.

Callum Davidson will now have more options to choose from for today’s game with Glenn Middleton returning from injury and Craig Bryson returning from suspension.

The only two regulars missing from the squad will be Stevie May and David Wotherspoon as they are still recovering from injury.
