We are delighted to announce the signing of defender Morgan Boyes, who joins the club on a two-year deal.
Morgan (24) will make the move to McDiarmid Park upon the expiry of his current contract at Greenock Morton.
A versatile defender comfortable playing at centre-back or left-back, Morgan is a product of the Liverpool academy and has picked up experience at Livingston and Inverness.
He has also represented Wales at under-19 and under-21 level.
Morgan said: “As soon as the gaffer made the call and explained the plan, I was really excited.
“I have played against St Johnstone a few times. It was never a nice feeling going there as an away team – and that is how we want it now.
“I’m looking forward to being part of the home team and having the fans on our side.”
Morgan, explaining what he can bring to Saints, added: “I’m a versatile defender and I’ll play where the gaffer needs me. I’m confident on the ball but happy to do the dirty side of the game too.”
With strong season ticket sales and the buzz of the Premier Sports Cup draw, Morgan is already excited to get started.
“I can’t wait to get going,” he said. “I had an eye on the Premier Sports Cup draw on my holiday to see who we got.
“It’s going to be a quick turnaround and hopefully we can get plenty more season tickets sold by then.”
