Perth and Kinross Council will now be lighting up iconic landmarks in our colours throughout the season before our home games – a show of city pride that will help to build excitement and support for the campaign ahead.
Smeaton’s Bridge and St Paul’s Church will glow blue and white on the eve of each home fixture at McDiarmid Park, creating a visual buzz around the city centre and reminding supporters that matchday is just around the corner.
The initiative, introduced in collaboration with Perth and Kinross Council, aims to strengthen the connection between the club and the wider Perth community.
Perth and Kinross Council leader, Councillor Grant Laing, said: “Perth is proud of St Johnstone and we are all excited for the season ahead. We are happy to show our support for the team and wish them all the best in their bid to win promotion back to the Premiership.”
St Johnstone CEO Francis Smith added: “We’re grateful to Perth and Kinross Council for their continued support. Seeing the city light up in Saints colours is a fantastic gesture and one we hope brings fans closer to the club. Every little bit of momentum helps, and this kind of support can make a real difference.”
Supporters heading into the city on the eve of home games are encouraged to take photos of the blue and white lights and share them across social media to spread the word.
Come on you Saints!
One club, one city, one community.
