After the weekend's highs, we are now straight back to business as we welcome Aberdeen to McDiarmid Park tonight. Please note that tonight's kick-off is 6 PM.

Saints are still on cloud nine after their heroic performance against Hibernian in the Betfred Cup's semi-final last weekend. Hibs shot out of the gates, creating numerous dangerous chances early in the first half. However, Saints weathered the storm, and just before halftime, skipper Jason Kerr rose above everyone and headed home the opener to make it 1-0 Saints heading into the break.

The second half could not have gone any better. Shaun Rooney was on fire as he not only scored the second but set up the third and final goal for Craig Conway to secure a spot in the Betfred Cup Final.

Saints will be looking to repeat that excellent performance tonight against Aberdeen, a team they have not been able to beat this season.

Last time out against Aberdeen, Liam Gordon scored his first professional goal for Saints with a bouncing header in the first half. However, the game was marred after a controversial penalty was awarded to Aberdeen shortly after Liam Gordon's opener that saw the Dons equalise before Ash Taylor won the match after the break.

Saints will be looking to cast a convincing victory over Aberdeen tonight to ignite the start of a positive run in the league.
