Preview: Hearts B in KDM Evolution Trophy

We’re straight back to action on Tuesday evening when we face Hearts B in the KDM Evolution Trophy.

The last 32 tie will take place at The Vanloq Community Stadium – home of Spartans FC – and will kick-off at 7.45pm.

The game had initially been scheduled for Tuesday, December 9 but was postponed before kick-off due to high winds.

Please note, all existing tickets remain available for this rearranged fixture.

There will be a pay-at-the-gate option accepting cash or card on Tuesday night. Prices are again as follows:

  • Adult £10
  • U18 and over 65 £5
  • U13 free of charge with paying adult

Disabled supporters – age-appropriate price with personal assistant ticket FOC (where required). 

There are three disabled parking bays available on a first come, first served basis – no charge for these bays. 

Any supporters requiring a refund from the December 9 match can do so by returning their physical ticket to the McDiarmid Park ticket office.

SUPPORTERS’ BUS

The supporters’ bus will leave McDiarmid Park at 6pm. 

Prices are:

  • Adult £13
  • U16 and over 65 £10

It is cash on the bus on the day.  Telephone 01738 459090 option 1 to book seats. Please note, those who were booked in for the postponed fixture will need to re-book their spot on the bus.

TRAVEL

Travelling to the Vanloq Community Stadium is relatively straightforward. The stadium is based in the North of Edinburgh and well served by public transport.

Lothian Buses services number 21 and 27 head along Ferry Road and you should get off the bus outside / opposite Morrison’s Supermarket, which is at the Crewe Toll end of the road.

You can also use the numbers 19, 22, 24, 29, 37. These all make their way to Crewe Toll – just past the Western General Hospital and before the Village Hotel.

The ground is a five-minute walk from Crewe Toll along Ferry Road, turning left onto Pilton Drive once you pass Morrisons.

For fans travelling by train, Waverley Station or Haymarket are your two choices.

THE OPPOSITION

Hearts B play their football in the Lowland League and currently sit 16th in the table.

They were last in action on Saturday afternoon and were defeated 5-1 by sixth-placed Caledonian Braves.
