Striker Uche Ikpeazu admits it was a proud moment when he scored for Uganda at the Africa Cup of Nations against Tanzania.

Uche netted with a lovely header to equalise for the Cranes to keep their qualification hopes alive and they now take on Nigeria tomorrow evening.

“I am absolutely ecstatic to score my first goal at AFCON,” Uche said. “I grew up watching this tournament and watching my idols like Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure.

“So to even play in this competition is a privilege. To score as well, words can’t describe it.

“The most important thing is that we now move on to the next game with a chance of qualifying against Nigeria.”

Good luck to Uche and Uganda in their final group stage match!
