Reece McAlear is already looking forward to getting back out on the pitch following Friday night’s 0-0 draw with Raith Rovers.
The midfielder is taking the positives from the performance at Stark’s Park and is confident that the clinical edge will return.
Reece said: “I thought we played pretty well for large spells of the game on Friday.
“Toby has made a good save, but I felt Raith didn’t cause us too many problems. We had loads of chances, but it just didn’t seem to fall for us.
“It would be different if we weren’t creating chances. It was a big difference from last Friday night in terms of dominating the ball. It’s fine margins in the game and just getting that ball in the back of the net.
“It’s a point away from home and we’ve not been beaten. But obviously there is disappointment because we want to win every game.”
Saints now head for Glasgow to take on Queen’s Park on Tuesday night. Kick-off at The City Stadium is 7.45pm.
Reece said: “It’s quickly on to the next one. The games are coming thick and fast and we’re already looking forward to Tuesday. It is another opportunity for us to get three points.”
