We are delighted to announce the signing of forward Ruari Paton for an undisclosed fee from Port Vale, subject to all relevant clearance.
The 25-year-old, who was with us on loan last season, has signed a contract at McDiarmid Park until the summer of 2028.
Quickly a fans’ favourite during his time in Perth, Ruari is pictured wearing our new PUMA 2026/27 away kit.
After signing for the Saints, he said: “I’m really glad to get everything over the line and I can look forward to the season now.
“The whole feeling of last season was really special and I loved every minute of that achievement.
“I actually loved every single thing about the club. The place, the people. I always felt happy here and I wanted to come back.
“I never felt like I was on loan. I built a connection with the guys on the pitch and never had a bad interaction with anyone off it.
“I feel I have a great connection with the supporters too and everyone who works in the building. It feels like home.”
He added: “It’s a different challenge in the Premiership but we’ll move forward with excitement and a desire to win. We’ll look to create more great moments. I’m looking forward to all of it.”
On the new away kit, Ruari said: “The new away kit is brilliant. Wearing it now, I’m actually already picturing myself getting ready for the games.”
AWAY KIT
Our new 2026/27 away kit is a return to yellow for the Saints, with a striking front sublimated print and classic V contrast colour collar.
The shirt proudly carries the official club crest alongside the iconic PUMA cat logo on the right chest and shoulders. Completing the look, the shorts and socks are both yellow.
Those attending the fans’ forum on Thursday evening were able to see the kit in person, in line with the strip being revealed online.
Supporters can first get their hands on the new away kit from our McDiarmid Park stadium shop on Saturday, June 27 from 10am. The shop is open until 3pm.
Sales from our city centre store on Perth High Street and online via Saints Retail will then commence on Monday, June 29 from 10am.
