Saints exited the Scottish Youth Cup at the third round stage on Friday evening.
The Perth youngsters were defeated 4-0 by Bonnyrigg Rose at New Dundas Park.
The hosts nudged into the lead after just six minutes when Callum Hogg dispatched from the penalty spot after the referee noticed a handball in the box.
Captain Jack Robertson went close to levelling proceedings shortly after but his downwards header from an outswinging corner was straight at the goalkeeper.
It had proven to be a frustrating start for the Saints and, by the 20 minute mark, they found themselves trailing by three when Brodie Thomson and then Alan Biezynski finished impressively.

Robertson was forced off on the half hour mark as we looked to find a way back into the contest with Dougal McAdam and Murray Binnie both striking off target with powerful efforts.
Bonnyrigg were reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes remaining and, while Saints pushed hard to carve out meaningful opportunities, the Midlothian side held firm.

They rounded off the scoring in stoppage time through Josh Beveridge’s close-range finish.
Saints starting XI: Mustard, Martin, Trialist, Trialist, Ashworth, Robertson ©, Binnie, Poli, Louden, Trialist, McAdam.
