Season Tickets / Online Ticketing

14th May 2019

Tuesday 14 May 2019

St. Johnstone Football Club is delighted to announce that we have partnered with Future Ticketing which will see the Club introduce a new online eTicketing system starting from the 2019/20 season.

We see this as an exciting step for the Club with regards to upgrading our current systems and believe it will greatly improve the customer experience for our loyal supporters.

Fans will be able to purchase single or multiple matchday tickets from our dedicated eTicketing page on the club’s official website, with new Season Ticket applications also available to be purchased online from Friday 31st May 2019.

Season Ticket renewals will be processed manually as normal through the current application form process for next season before migrating online in time for the 2020/21 campaign.

The Club understand this may be a big change for some of our fans and in order to make the transition as easy as possible we will continue to operate with a small number of cash gates at McDiarmid Park for the foreseeable future. We will monitor progress with a view to moving away from cash gates within a timeframe that sees our supporters comfortable with these changes.

We will also continue to sell tickets via the McDiarmid Park Ticket Office and through the Telephone Hotline for those who prefer to purchase tickets in this way.

Existing Season Ticket Holders

For those who currently hold a season ticket, the renewal process for season 2019/2020 will continue as normal.

You will still receive an information pack and application form by post and application for renewal can be done by submitting the completed application form by email, by post or in person.

To aid the correct migration of the club’s existing database, Season Ticket renewals cannot be done online this year but we’re delighted to say that such a facility will be available from 2020 onwards.

As normal, existing Season Ticket holders have a period of time in which to renew their existing seat before it is released for sale to others. The deadline date for such renewal is Friday 21st June.

Everyone will be familiar with our traditional, much-loved season ticket book with tear out vouchers but these will no longer be issued. In its place, Season Ticket holders will receive a Season Ticket Card similar to any bankcard or credit card you may have. The encrypted card will hold all your contact details along with details of your reserved seat and your admission category (e.g. Adults, Senior Citizen, Junior etc).

When you arrive at the stadium for a match your card will be scanned by the turnstile operator to give you access to your chosen stand. If you present your card at the wrong stand, entry will not be permitted.

Season Ticket Cards will be mailed to your home address and that communication will provide details of the process for lost or stolen cards.

Season Tickets (New Applications)

Applications from supporters who have not held a Season Ticket this season (2018/2019) can be done in a number of ways.

These ‘new’ applications can be done entirely online from Friday 31st May 2019. Please visit: to complete your online application.

Alternatively, an application form can be downloaded HERE or picked up from the Ticket Office and once completed can be posted, emailed or handed in.

Available seats can be viewed online from Friday 31st May or at the Ticket Office at McDiarmid Park but supporters considering buying ‘new’ for season 2019/2020 are reminded that existing Season Ticket holders will have until 21st June to renew their existing seat before that seat is released for sale to others.

Match by Match Ticketing

For most matches there will now be the facility to purchase a ticket in advance with allocated seating.

Tickets can be purchased online, over the telephone and in person from our Ticket Office.

Online tickets can be printed off at home and brought along to the game for scanning or you can use the bar code printed on the confirmation email and present your smartphone and the email for scanning at any turnstile at your chosen stand.

Please note that there will continue to be restrictions on sales for the visits of Celtic and Rangers and these will be notified in advance through all our media platforms.

However, for most matches, it will still be possible for fans to walk up on the day and pay cash as there will be a limited number of turnstiles in each stand continuing to take cash payments.

The number of turnstiles taking cash will be gradually reduced as people become familiar with the new arrangements and the uptake on eTickets will guide us on the length of time we maintain cash turnstiles.

Future developments of this exciting new system will see the ability to download match tickets to Apple or Samsung Wallets, the possibility of releasing multi-game ticketing whereby fans can purchase multi-game tickets in advance, online sales of matchday hospitality and the ability to purchase eTickets for other club events such as the Hall of Fame Dinner and the End of Season Awards Night.

As most of you will be aware the 2019/20 season will be the club's 30th at McDiarmid Park.

Keep your eyes peeled for our special video to promote this and our 2019/20 Season Tickets which will air on Saints TV later this month!
