Special moments with Sidey

Cameron Littlejohn signs for St Johnstone

Littlejohn, 7, has signed with Saints on a lucrative lifetime contract.

The confident new signing spoke about his versatility and ambition for his new adventure:

"I can play in attack or in goals, I hope to score lots of goals for Saints"

Saints teamed up with local window and door specialists, Sidey. Alongside Saints In The Community to help bring a surprise day for young Cameron. Cameron has had a tough time of late going through some major health issues.

"Cameron has a genetic heart condition called Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT). The condition causes an irregular heart rhythm which can be very dangerous.
We have an AED machine and anywhere Cameron goes, that goes too. He is medicated and thankfully, bar a few blips, he keeps as well as he can do.

Cameron's cardiology team are hands down the best. Between Ninewells and Glasgow they are the biggest support network in times of need, especially his cardiac specialist nurse. She's an incredible nurse who is always there when I need her.

Opportunities like what you have done today mean more to us than we can explain. From the bottom of my heart thank you. Saints in the Community always put the kids first and at first when I signed Cameron up to a football camp a few years ago I was sceptical on whether they would even allow Cameron to attend. Danny, Josh and Rebekah instantly behind the scenes came together with a plan so Cameron could attend and we have never looked back.

St Johnstone FC, I cannot express how grateful I am for everything you do, not only for my son but for all the children who attend. You're a one-of-a-kind team and it's a privilege to be part of such an incredible family.

Of course, another huge thank you to Sidey. We were honoured that Cameron was picked to be part of your event, the smile on his face throughout spoke a thousand words. You are all far too kind and this is something as a family we will never forget."

The club plan to continue this idea in the future alongside Sidey, we look forward to planning more surprises together.
