St Johnstone WFC are back in SWPL2 action this Sunday and travel to face East Fife at Bayview Stadium.

The game will kick-off at 12.30pm and all support is welcome. It will be £5 entry.

Saints’ last competitive outing was at the beginning of the month when they were edged out 4-3 by Dundee United in Perth.

Ahead of the trip to Methil, manager Josh Henderson said: “There was obviously a little bit of flatness after the Dundee United game because it was disappointing how it finished.

“But we quickly dusted ourselves down and, as we went through the week, the atmosphere and reaction in training was really good.

“We had a behind-closed-doors friendly with Spartans at the weekend to get extra minutes in the legs of players who needed it.

“We know there needs to be a good response this weekend because it’s not an easy game going down to East Fife.”

Saints defeated East Fife 4-2 at McDiarmid Park earlier in the season but Josh is not looking too much into that.

He said: “It was a good performance against East Fife last time out. But the two goals we did give away on that occasion were sloppy.

“It will be a different game this time around. It was eight games ago and a lot can change. They will be dangerous but we need to make sure we stick to our game-plan.”

Josh confirmed that Leni Parrish is set for a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
